My Gothic & Lolita Collection

A selection of some of my favorite and most treasured.
I love how these pieces lay together.
Sometimes, when I pick out a new piece, I think,
"Would a Gothic Lolita Vampire Princess wear this?"
If the answer is no, I'm simply not buying it...

Main Pieces

Embroidered Pocket JSK, 2007(?)
Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
I think this might be my favorite JSK in my wardrobe right now. I'm unsure if this JSK was made in 2007 or is the 2015 re-release. Baby's tags are quite consistent, so it's hard to say. However, the cleaning tag most closely matches my older pieces versus my newer ones, so I'm going to guess its from 2007.

Waist Scallop JSK, 2003
Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
This dress is so comfortable. I like how it looks like a scalloped bustier under a high-waisted skirt. This dress looks beautiful as a sundress with sandals on a warm day. This dress also has one of my favorite details in my wardrobe, this wonderful heart ladder lace:

Gosh. That heart ladder lace is simply DIVINE!

Name unknown, Year unknown
H.Naoto Frill
I ordered this dress on a secondhand japanese marketplace and got it new with tags! I was surprised. H.Naoto is a great wardrobe addition because it carries some differences in detail compared to other lolita brands I've worn. For starters, the dresses are a little shorter. That being said, the dress is REALLY heavy! Theres a ton of really thick, quality material on this dress. H.Naoto in particular seems to play on the grungey aspect of using multiple fabrics in one piece, and this jumperskirt is a great example of that.

Shirring Babydoll JSK, 2021
Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
This one, I purchased brand new at the Baby San Francisco store! I celebrated my 25th birthday in San Francisco to commemorate visiting Baby when I was 15 and could only afford to buy logo knee socks in white.

*

Garden Alice Print Babydoll JSK, 2009
Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
Pink! This dress has to be the most comfortable out of all the ones I own. It is fully shirred, has thin waist ties, elastic shoulder straps, and a short-ish length. What more could you ask for? I feel like I could play sports in this dress. Hahaha! Its my go-to dress for when I don't know what sort of adventure I'll be having that day.

Freshly Picked Strawberries, 2021
Angelic Pretty
While it is quite the oddball in my closet, I love her so much... The details on this dress are absolutely beautiful. (I still think a vampire princess would look stunning in a strawberry sundress, for the record, so she passes the gothic lolita vampire test by that logic.) I LOVE a fully shirred bodice, it is so comfortable with no sacrifice for beauty. This dress has my most favorite lace, as well:

Oh... That strawberry lace is to die for.

*

Polka Dot Memories Shirt OP, 2012
Angelic Pretty
So comfy and airy. Perfect for doing errands on a hot day. I wore this dress with sandals and a hat so often when I lived in Hawaii very breifly. Its thin cotton fabric with subtle details is perfect for blending in but staying cute.

Skirts

Name unknown, Year unknown
MILK
A great staple for when the rest of the outfit does the talking.

*

Night Fairy Fantasia Skirt, 2011
Alice and The Pirates
This skirt is perfect for a casual or punk look. I love the miniskirt length on a print that features the london bridge, big ben, unexplored islands, and treasure. In pink. With star lace. Like, what? It's amazing.

Accessories

Bow Hair Clips, 2021
Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
Perfect accessories to adorn on twintails. I wear these all the time, every time, even if I'm already wearing a headdress.

*

Side headbow, Year unknown
Angelic Pretty
This headbow used to have three pearls sewn on each side, but I removed them after I sold Fantastic Dolly by Angelic Pretty. That was an evolutionary time for me... I had been feeling less passionate about Sweet Lolita, and let go of many dresses I had once considered to be grails. I wanted to keep this headbow, though, since finding the right shape for yourself comes in the form of a blessing.

*

Le Lac des Cygnes Velveteen Head Bow, 2010
Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
I love the delicate velvet details on this headbow. Those details make it so much more than a boring 'Alice' bow. I don't own any of the other pieces from this series, but I truly believe I own the best one.

*

Canotier, 2006(?)
Angelic Pretty
A black canotier, rose lace, a satin bow with rhinestone crystals, all underneath wool woven with black and gray thread. Beautiful!

*

Button wrist cuffs, 2021
Baby, The Stars Shine Bright
These wristcuffs are PERFECT for extending the length of sleeves. These make me feel so cute and make more blouses fit me more naturally. I wouldn't trade these cuffs for the WORLD! They are super cute on their own too, and look a bit like maid cuffs when worn alone.
